Bridal Song

It used to be a tradition for ladies-wear runway shows to reach a conclusive, climactic grand-finale with the display of fashion's pièce de résistance: the wedding dress.

Several designers have returned to that revered practice, only that, in some cases, with a twist: Gautier, for instance, hired a male-model for that job: the polemic and astonishing Andrej Pejic (check out: I have the dress).

In a even bolder push of the envelope, designer Marcel Ostertag decided to model the piece himself, so he crowned his ultra-feminine S/S 2012 collection, shown earlier this month in Berlin, by traversing the catwalk, high-heels and all, clad in a oddly simple, quiet androgynous, yet elegant wedding dress.

I'm eager to suggest it to bridegrooms as well (stilettos and all!)
