Since the beginning of history, gold has been the most esteemed and sought after metal, a symbol of power and status.
Artisans have molded it into beauteous jewels to be worn by kings and queens, and affluent ladies. Even though, when displayed by men, it has not always had a illustrious reputation: "Golden Earrings" were worn by Gypsy lads, if one is to trust the old song, and gilded adornments were also common among  pirates, gangsters, and other outlaws.

Fortunately, not only it's shine is recovering its prestige among males, but nowadays it's easy and cheap to imitate its luster and spill it all over our bodies, from tip to toe, as in this lustrous editorial featuring not only golden jewelry, but also golden jackets, coats, even shoe-laces, and a overall glossy atmosphere quite resembling a golden light.
